Meet Our Optometrist
Before opening his practice, Dr. David Metsch
attended North Carolina State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree.
He continued his education at Indiana University School of Optometry and completed a residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Dr. David Metsch has been serving North Andover, and surrounding areas for over 15 years. He is and has been an Executive Board Member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists for more than a decade.
His Approach
Generations of families have trusted him for his thorough exams. He personally provides each patient with the personalized service they deserve. Each exam lasts a minimum of 20 minutes. He doesn't believe in having technicians do most of the exam and having the doctor step in for 5 minutes.
Dr. Metsch was awarded the Young Optometrist of the Year Award for Massachusetts in 2002 to 2003. He is also a former faculty member of the Indiana University Department of Medical Science and the New England College of Optometry.
Outside the Office
Dr. Metsch has been a resident of North Andover for more than a decade, where he lives with his wife, Renee, and their son Benjamin. Outside the office he is an avid musician and coaches youth basketball. Renee is an active volunteer in their synagogue and in the community.
